146 players representing 48 college teams, from 11 conferences, and drawn from 21 states met at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, FL to compete in the second NSCRO Women's All Star 7's Championship on 19-20 January 2019. Due to the success of the 2018 event, this year's field was expanded to twelve teams from eight last year.
The twelve teams were divided into four pools of three playing in a round robin format to determine rankings for the afternoon round of play. At the end of pool play Prairie States were at the top of the list based on point differential followed by the defending champions, South, Upstate New York, Mid-Atlantic, Colonial Coast, and East Penn. LoneStar, Ohio Valley, Great Waters, Cascades, South Sunset, and Allegheny filled out the bottom half of the rankings. The top eight teams went on to play a knockout format while the bottom four teams played their final three games in a round robin format.
The quarterfinals saw the Prairie States defeat Ohio by a score of 27-10, the South ran out 36-7 winners over LoneStar, Upstate New York beat East Penn 24-12, and in the last match, Mid-Atlantic came from behind to defeat the Colonial Coast 17-12.
On Day 2, the players were faced with increasing winds as the day went on, but, that did not deter any of the athletes from bringing their best to the pitch. After 28 games over two days, the final match was a repeat of the 2018 Final between the defending champions, the South, and the Prairie States. In the end, Prairie States avenged last years loss by defeating the South by a final score of 25-7 and were named the 2019 NSCRO Women's All-Star 7's Champion. Upstate New York took third place, defeating Mid-Atlantic 24-5.
