In 2018, NSCRO made another giant step to enhance the college rugby experience with the creation of the National All-Star Championship (NASC). The goal was to provide a quality venue and outstanding experience for players that was above and beyond what they were used to. The event was to provide talented players an opportunity to play on a side with similarly talented players and have excellent coaching. In this way we hoped to inspire these players to strive for rugby greatness beyond their college playing years.
The first event was held in late June at the Round Rock Sports Complex in Round Rock, Texas. It was hosted by the Austin Elite MLR team. Nearly 120 players representing five regions participated. The matches were live streamed by Next Level Rugby. When the dust settled the Pacific Coast Grizzlles defeated the Northeast Rhinos in the final by a score of 26-10.
For 2019, the same fie Regional teams - Pacific Coast, LoneStar, South, Mid-South and Northeast - are returning to the NASC hosted by the Houston SaberCats MLR team in their new AVEVA Stadium facility during Memorial Day weekend. Click here to realize the power of this event....speakers on!
